For 50 years, the real work of global diplomacy in Akron has happened around host family dinner tables, in local school district offices, and across conference tables at local businesses.
Adriane, Libby, and I see this lasting connection firsthand every season.
A single exchange visit of international delegates to an Akron company or local public meeting builds real personal trust, putting our city on the map when foreign leaders look to establish international partnerships, economic ties, or academic exchanges.
To mark half a century of building real trust, we are looking for 50 community members to step up for every year of shared home dinners, genuine conversations, and local partnerships.
An anonymous donor has offered to match every gift of $50 or more, dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $2,500.
Will you be one of those 50?
Our goal is to fill all 50 spots by midnight on September 30.
Will you be 1 of 50 donors to support international exchange this fall? Donate today.
