IVLP Senegal Delegation: Expanding U.S. Market Access and Exports via Akron
About the Visit
From September 12 to September 16, 2026, Global Ties Akron will host a high-level delegation of government and economic officials from Senegal through the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and Cultural Vistas.
Titled “Creating Opportunities through Entrepreneurship and Commercial Development,” this exchange serves as a strategic platform to advance U.S. commercial interests, boost American exports, and secure vital market access in a rapidly expanding West African economy.
Positioning American Business as the Partner of Choice
Senegalese officials highly value the quality of American products and corporate enterprise. As the current Faye-Sonko administration actively pivots away from traditional European trading partners like France, a massive commercial opening has emerged for U.S. firms to step in and succeed.
By centering this exchange in Northeast Ohio, Global Ties Akron will showcase local commercial models that directly support U.S. economic and national security objectives.
