Campaign Halfway Mark: Join Akron’s 50 Local Leaders
We are officially halfway through our 50 for 50 campaign, with just one week left to hit our target by September 30. An anonymous donor continues to match every dollar contributed up to $2,500, meaning your direct $50 gift instantly doubles to $100. Every dollar stays right here in Greater Akron to directly fund educational exchanges, community dinners, and meaningful international connections.
Join the 50 local leaders stepping up to support our fall programs today.
Diplomacy in Action: Recapping Recent Community Gatherings
Our community recently gathered at the home of the late Rosemary Reymann to carry forward her legacy of citizen diplomacy, welcoming six visiting IVLP leaders from Senegal for an evening of Dinner Diplomacy.
We also hosted a Home Hospitality Appreciation Luncheon to honor our dedicated volunteer hosts, whose open doors turn short visits into lifelong international friendships. Special thanks to Margaret Medzie and her family for their generous financial support of the Home Hospitality Program.
Looking ahead, mark your calendar for upcoming delegations this October and our Thanksgiving Celebration on November 15, 2026.
