INTERNATIONAL VISITOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

INTERNATIONAL VISITOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. The IVLP brings emerging and established leaders from around the world to meet their American counterparts.

From welcoming visitors into their homes to exchanging ideas on government, business, and education, local community members experience unique opportunities to learn, grow, and form lasting international relationships through these short-term visits.

We are always looking for local dinner hosts, professionals, and educators to volunteer and meet these international groups. Your participation helps showcase Akron’s hospitality, innovation, and leadership spirit while fostering meaningful global connections.

The IVLP is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government, and supported in its implementation by Global Ties Akron.
