Greetings and Happy End of the Year!
 
To our many partners, supporters, and friends- we thank you for all you have done to make this year a success.
 
During this year-end quarter (October-December), Global Ties Akron is happy to announce that we have met with 6 International Visitor Leadership Program groups, including 70 visitors, liaisons, and interpreters coming from countries around the world, including those in the Western Hemisphere, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan.

Additionally, our Global Education services, funded in part by the Akron Community Foundation, impacted approximately 185 local middle and high school students, 58 University of Akron students, and eight university interns. Our Women’s Artrepreneurs initiative, funded in partnership with the Women’s Endowment Fund, ArtsNow, and individual donors, impacted eight local immigrant and refugee artisans, five of whom completed the six formal workshops on how to build their businesses. The Artrepreneurs program ended with an Open House at the Northside Marketplace, where several participants currently have their items for sale.
