Through Know Your Community, Know Your World, Global Ties Akron connects educators with guest speakers, international scholars, immigrants, and refugees to explore regional and global diversity.
Our curriculum is designed in collaboration with local community partners and international experts to create interactive, culturally rich learning experiences. Students engage in hands-on activities, discussions, and storytelling that make global learning come alive right from your classroom.
Did You Know?
Global Ties Akron also engages university students through internships, classroom presentations, and research collaborations. We provide real-world experience in international education, nonprofit management, and citizen diplomacy.
Our team regularly participates in university and cultural tabling events, such as The University of Akron International Student Orientation, offering information on local resources, volunteer opportunities, and signature programs like the annual Thanksgiving Celebration with an International Flair.
