 –25\, 2026\, Global Ties Akron welcomes a delegation of science\, resear
 ch\, and academic leaders from the Europe and Eurasia region for a week-lo
 ng professional exchange in Akron\, Ohio. Organized through the Internatio
 nal Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in partnership with American Council
 s for International Education — one of the country's premier exchange pr
 ogram agencies — this visit focuses on one of today's most critical glob
 al conversations: protecting scientific research while advancing internati
 onal collaboration.\nDelegates will engage with university researchers\, g
 overnment science advisors\, tech transfer professionals\, and national la
 boratory representatives throughout their time in Northeast Ohio\, explori
 ng U.S. frameworks for open science\, research security\, and internationa
 l partnership agreements.\n\nWhy This Topic Matters\nResearch security has
  become one of the defining challenges of the 21st century. This IVLP exch
 ange gives delegates from Europe and Eurasia the opportunity to explore ho
